Six Local Province Germplasm genetic resources (SDG) of Bali Province,
namely Bali Cattle, Bali Duck, Bali Pigs, Kintamani Dogs, Gembrong Goats, and
White Cows / White Taro cattle. Animal genetic resources are the basic
framework of reference for animal husbandry and the future development of
livestock. The diversity of native livestock nations, as well as those that
adapt locally, are abundant and can save farmers in the face of difficult
climate and marginal areas. The genetic resources of local livestock can be
utilized with minimum costs (inputs) and play an important role in the culture
of rural communities. Management of animal genetic resources can be done
through the utilization and preservation of animal genetic resources, for
example cultivation, breeding, exploration, conservation, and determination of
conservation areas. Meanwhile, to prevent the possibility of illegal extraction
of clumps or strains formed in an area, the government provides legal
protection through the establishment and release of clumps or strains of
livestock. This book is very useful for observers and those who have great
interest in the field of animal husbandry, especially in the field of
conservation and development of animal husbandry plasma. As a reference and
guide for undergraduate (S-1), Masters (S-2), and Doctoral (S-3) students of
animal husbandry.
